Evaluation & Treatment
A child that has a lingering cough, wheezing, shortness of breath, or repeated "bronchitis" should be evaluated for asthma. If diagnosed, proper treatment which includes education, trigger awareness, medication with its proper usage, and monitoring will allow a child to lead a normal, active life.

Outside/Inside
Believe it or not, when you have asthma, what is happening in the atmosphere and air on the OUTSIDE may effect what is happening to your airways INSIDE. Extreme humidity, high ozone levels, approaching storm fronts, sudden changes in temperature, high pollen or mold counts (any or all), etc, can worsen symptoms.
